Dear Future Employers,…

*A letter from the founder of FADED*

Dear Future Employers,

I hope this letter, looking for forgiveness and repentance, finds you on a day you are in a good mood.

On the slim-chance (highly-probable-chance) that you find this project of mine, if I haven’t been hired yet, I hope you admire the creativity and reckless disregard for self well-being, in the name of journalism, that I display here. If I have already been hired, I hope you get the same feeling you had when you found your parent’s profile while swiping through Tinder.

FADED is a love letter, a breakup letter, a thank you letter, to the memories and stories that I have experienced, heard, and shared; with friends, acquaintances, and strangers. I was once told that to be a good writer, you should write about the world, and that the best way to learn about the world, was to drink somewhere. While I don’t dream on becoming a great writer, I do know that I can write about what I know, and that is the small world of my college life. College party culture is more than bars, fraternities, and house parties. There is something beautiful about a group of people, many strangers, coming together to look through the rose colored glasses of life that is alcohol.

I hope that by reading the content that I have created and curated on here, you can find yourself in The Bar, The Frats, and The House, as a part of the never ending party that is FADED.

XOXO,

Emily
